It can be said that liquid bandage is an upgraded version of a normal bandage. A layer of clear antiseptic liquid is in direct contact with the wound. Liquid bandage is easy to apply and causes less irritation. Nowadays, almost everyone uses touch screens. In such a case, regular bandages seem a little bit annoying for finger wounds and are more likely to fall off. While with liquid bandage, your fingers are still visible to touch screens, normal typing available. However, you should never apply this optimized bandage in the ear, mouth, nose, or around the eyes.
Method 1: for liquid bandage that is gradually off as the wound heals, it’s quite OK to remove it by starting the pulling from the edges gently. If it's not painful, continue to do so until the liquid bandage is removed entirely.
Method 2: apply a new layer of liquid bandage to the existing one for softening. Immediately after this, rub the two layers off to achieve successful removal.
Method 3: use baby oil or mineral oil to make the bandage soften. The process involves rinsing the bandage with warm water and soap several times.
Whether you apply a thin layer of liquid bandage or a thick layer really matters, as the drying speed has something to do with the thickness of the bandage you apply to the wound. Normally, liquid bandage dries in 2-5 minutes or so and after around 5-10 days, it will fall off in a natural way. This time range corresponds quite well to the healing time of most minor cuts. Once the bandage falls off completely, you should consider reapplying a new one.
