Winner Medical attended the International Nonwovens Technical Conference, or INTC 08 Conference, the world's largest nonwovens technical conference, in Houston, Texas, the United States from September 8 – 11, 2008.

INDEX 08 is co-sponsored and organized by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, and TAPPI, Technical Association of the Pulp an Paper Industry, it brings together hundreds of technical executives from all aspects of the nonwovens and textile markets. It features presentations from dozens of researchers and experts from around the world during the four days of technical sessions, tutorials and networking.

During the conference, the most important technical issues facing the nonwoven industry - how the current oil price dynamics that are having a major impact on the nonwoven industry, and how nonwoven manufacturers are facing an enduring squeeze as rising resin costs are quickly eating into margins - are being discussed.

The rising energy costs have a major impact on the nonwoven industry. The prices of the widely used synthetic nonwoven products are closely related to the price of oil, and we are seeing its long term trend of increasing.
