[2008-04-25]

Winner Medical Group Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: WMDG; “Winner Medical”), a leading manufacturer and the largest exporter by volume in the medical dressing industry (medical and wound care products) in China, attended the INDEX 08 exhibition, the world’s largest event for the nonwovens industry, in Geneva, Switzerland in April 2008. Winner Medical introduced PurCottonTM, the new revolutionary nonwoven fabric made of 100% cotton, to global nonwoven market players. We have met over 120 target clients during the exhibition, and active discussions have been held with more than 10 potential customers following the exhibition.

INDEX 08 is the world’s leading nonwoven exhibition and the platform that showcases the latest developments in nonwoven applications and technological breakthroughs. Over 500 exhibitors and 13,000 visitors from all the key sectors along the nonwoven value chain, including DuPont, Freudenber Nonwovens, and BASF, participated in the event from April 15th to 18th. The event covers the whole spectrum of nonwovens activity, with a particular focus on some key applications such as medical, cleaning & hygiene and home furnishing. Organized since 1973 and now held every three years, INDEX is the undisputed meeting point for the nonwoven industry.

“This is our first time to participate in that flagship event for the nonwoven industry. Our primary goal in this tradeshow is to bring the concept of new, biodegradable, sustainable, and eco-friendly products made by PurCottonTM into the global nonwoven market.” said Mr. Jianquan Li, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Winner Medical.

Mr. Li continued, “For decades, the nonwoven industry has been producing synthetic nonwoven products using rayon and polyester, which are non-biodegradable. The rising concerns on ssustainable development and eco-friendly consciousness, which are well-accepted in the developed countries, create ample opportunities for cotton in the nonwoven industry. Therefore, our high-quality and eco-friendly PurCottonTM Products draw wide customer attention in this exhibition, especially those from Europe and the US.”
